“ Notes From the Underground is a collection of tracks spanning as far back as 2016 for some arrangements. The precursor versions of these tracks have only been DJed with once or twice - An export of Nowt Wrong in an early form was played at Antwerp Mansions closing night 2018). An early version of Peep Show was played over parties at my university and received much attention from balloon dealers, in the basement of my old house share in Withington, Manchester.

An early version of Over was played on MCR live’s Valentines day show in 2019. Yesterday and Over have been extremely tedious and long projects and both related very much to complicated relationships, heartbreak, time on bail and issues with the police and the bad emotions at the start of the pandemic.

I do hope anyone interested in lo-fi, noise, sampling, techno and house music will enjoy the collection of tracks in this short album in it’s final form. It is cathartic to have it released on OverRhythm and personally for me - it is a relief to move from these tracks and their dark tone as I have completed this chapter of my life. “
